Description: In between California's central coast and the state's sprawling Central Valley lies a ribbon of mountains called the Coast Range. Largely unsettled, this area retains a primitive feel and is home to deer, wild boar, and even the occasional cougar. Traveling through a high valley in this region, I found an old cabin along the highway that provided the inspiration for this painting. The painting is an original acrylic, 16"X20". It has been varnished to protect the paint surface and is unframed.
